The final issue for Saved Magazine was about Biblical Creation. A thorough article on the seven days of Creation was written, and an illustration was needed to accompany it. As the Staff Illustrator for the magazine, I was given complete creative control over the art direction for the piece. Below you can see how I produced a seven-panel comic-style illustration that showed the day-to-day progression of God’s work. One element of the piece that I was particularly happy with concerned the presentation of Adam and Eve through the use of shadows rather than by hiding them behind leaves and bushes.
This digital painting was produced with Autodesk Sketchbook and Adobe Photoshop. In producing this piece, I discussed details for my concept - which would accompany an article - with the editor of SAVED Magazine, Afshin Yaghtin, who then gave me complete creative control over the project.
