Having always been a fan of prehistory, and a newly converted Christian, I was captivated by the work of Bill Cooper in his book "After the Flood." In it, he detailed how the oldest recorded piece of literature, "Beowulf," which tells of a lasting struggle between the titular character and the Grendel beast, was likely a record of an actual event, and that the beast was in fact a remnant dinosaur! That concept was the basis for this work, and it was in fact the first piece of digital art I ever produced.
